Karnataka Education Board, established in 1918, is an eminent service-oriented educational organization at Dharwad, Karnataka. Popularly known as K E Board, the organization has been catering affordable quality education to the people of North Karnataka through schools and colleges for a hundred years. The Board shall be celebrating it Centenary next year. The Board is managed by a team of Directors, who are eminent educationists, lawyers, doctors, retired bureaucrats, etc. The honourable Directors are actively and enthusiastically involved in the development of all the institutes under the Board.
The Board has been receiving appeals to establish a CBSE school for long time. Respecting the feelings and needs of the society, the Board turned the wish into a reality and established K E Board Central School in 2014. Due to the Board’s keen interest and efforts, the school has grown into a full-fledged institute with the best of infrastructure and resources in a short span.
The school firmly believes in holistic development of each child. Mahatama Gandhiji says, “By education, I mean an all-round drawing of the best in child and man in body, mind and spirit.” Hence, a lot of opportunities are being provided to pupils to hone their inborn talents besides enhancing their scholastic achievements. Character building among students is the main focus of the school. We appreciate Aristotle’s words, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” Being sensitive to the people and the environment around us is very crucial to us. Unless we have feelings, we can’t think to act. Hence, the school makes conscious efforts to arouse feelings among them so that they strive for peace, progress and prosperity of the world when they grow. Efforts are invariably being made to achieve it through creating conducive environment for pupils here.
The school management and teaching and non teaching staff are striving hard with the best of ability in order to provide the best of education in the best of environment. We do humbly seek the cooperation of dear parents and guardians to stand by us and boost our morale for doing good for their wards and our pupils. Let us all join hands to provide them a better future.
